REDBRICKS TRAINING PROGRAMs for educators and parents
Redbricks Education Foundation has designed holistic and experiential Adult Training Programs with a primary focus on developing exceptional educators. These programs can be attended as pre-service or in-service programs by aspiring or current educators.

These programs are also attended by parents who wish to learn best practices in child care and education.
 
Redbricks Training Program in Early Childhood Care and Education (RTP-ECCE)
Redbricks Training Program on Progressive Education for Primary Years (RTP-PEPY)
 
 
The Redbricks Training Program in Early Childhood Care and Education (RTP-ECCE) equips students with specialized knowledge & skills related to Early Childhood Education, focusing on children up to 8 years of age. The program also emphasizes on inculcating the right attitude and perspectives to plan and conduct a developmentally appropriate early childhood program.

This program is designed to help participants to become highly effective early childhood educators.
 
 
 
Program Objectives
 
By the end of this program, students will be able to-
Develop insights into the process of child development and learning
Understand the rights and developmental needs of children from birth to the age of 8 years
Understand concepts, principles & approaches in early childhood curriculum design and engage in effective curriculum planning
Implement developmentally appropriate, play and activity based early childhood programs
Understand the appropriate methods of assessing and evaluating young children leading to optimal outcomes
Develop knowledge in classroom management & setting up of physical environment to effectively facilitate children's development
Understand the benefits and ways of collaborating with parents, families and community towards the benefit of young children
Recognize the need to be a reflective practitioner and teacher
Respond to the verbal & non-verbal cues of children with care and sensitivity
Identify the need to appreciate, respect and optimize the individuality of every child

The Redbricks Training Program on Progressive Education for Primary Years (RTP-PEPY) is designed for Educators with focus on children from Class 1 to Class 8. This program is designed to equip students with an understanding of various educational philosophies & approaches, curriculum design frameworks, and experiential pedagogical models/teaching methodologies. It is particularly useful for in-service teachers looking to upgrade their knowledge and skills for making their classroom approach more relevant in the 21st century.
 
Program Objectives
 
At the end of this program, students will be able to-
Understand about the principles of human development and stages of development in children
Comprehend various historical and modern philosophies, and pedagogical approaches in primary years education
Design effective curriculum for primary years children, using various methods of planning curriculum & instruction
Adopt varied and innovative pedagogies in their teaching practices with primary age children
Learn about the various standards and approaches of national and international examination boards (like Gujarat State, CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and IB Boards)
Plan a range of assessment and evaluation methods for primary age children
Discuss about the role of a primary teacher in classrooms, with children and within a school
Develop capacity to be a reflective person and practitioner

Application Procedure

Submit the Admissions Enquiry Form with details available on the website.

Admission registration form can be purchased from the Admissions Office followed by which an admission test and personal interview will be conducted to gauge the participant's inclination and aptitude for the program.

 
After attending these programs, participants can explore careers in preschool/primary school education, as well as opportunities in other organizations where understanding of child development and education would be useful (example- NGO's). This program can also immensely benefit parents (mother/father) in understanding and guiding their young children.
 
 
Note:These programs do not award a degree or diploma, and are not affiliated to any university or government body. On completion of the program, candidates would receive a certificate of successful completion issued by Redbricks Education Foundation.
