Our Story

Meet Our Founders

Redbricks Education Foundation is the brainchild of social entrepreneurs Renita and Aditya Handa. Our Founders are inspired by a vision of India that is being built over the next few decades. While economic progress is a given, they are driven by the belief that the biggest asset for any nation is its human capital and its citizens.

Renita Handa is a Harvard University (USA) Alumna with a Master in Education degree and a Bentley University (USA) Alumna with an MBA degree. Over the years, she has passionately charted her path in education with a strong focus on creating a child-centred and research-based education ecosystem for children. She is highly passionate about innovative curriculum design and investing in teacher and parent education.
Aditya Handa is a Babson College (USA) Alumnus with an MBA degree in Entrepreneurship. He believes in a triple-bottom-line approach and is passionately engaged in business areas that are important for nation-building and environmental sustainability. At Redbricks, he contributes his knowledge and vision towards the strategic & cultural growth and development of the institution.

Under their leadership, the Redbricks team is excited to create a progressive model of education which sets an example for others to follow and builds a strong cadre of good citizens, competent educators, and confident parents.

The Redbricks Story

Our Founders believe that the Indian education system needs a fundamental rethink and redesign to build the skills needed in the 21st century and yet to nurture individuals who remain rooted in the Indian civilisational ethos.

Their own experiences as learners in both traditional education systems in India, and later in progressive education systems abroad have helped them evolve an educational model which is a coherent blend of the traditional and the modern, the Eastern and the Western.

This has led to the creation of a unique education model at Redbricks School, one that draws upon global best ideas in pedagogy such as inquiry & project-based learning while also incorporating classic learning methods such as direct instruction and practice.

Redbricks also invests deeply in creating a healthy social-emotional environment in the school that inculcates Indian ethos and values and builds important character traits like humility, persistence and resilience, among others. The school believes in developing not just great minds, but also great citizens and human beings.
